Happy Birthday Juliette
June 22, 2006 by juliettelewisI happened to notice in a news article today that it's Juliette's birthday.
Juliette is getting great reviews on her band, and has now taken on the challenge of a theater role in London - her first live theater.
She is so much her own woman and is so incredibly dynamic.
Here are some of the best bits of the article I read:
"Today's birthday girl emancipated herself from her parents at 14, dropped out of high school at 15, started banging Brad Pitt at 16 in a romance that would last almost four years, and got an Oscar nomination at 17."
"But probably her most amazing accomplishment, to us here at LAist, is her completely natural role as a singer in her band Juliette Lewis and the Licks. Part Iggy Pop, part Courtney Love, part P.J. Harvey…"
"'I'm fiercely independent and defiant and its all the stuff that I've done in Scientology that has helped reinforce that and make me even more of an individual.' 'it's a true non-conformist religion.'"
"Currently Juliette is recording the follow-up to her debut record, 'You're Speaking My Language' with the former Nirvana drummer keeping the beat. Videos of the recording session are available on the band's Myspace page. "
